Charook Pantoffel Rau Schwarz – Suede Slippers, Black

The understated version of our suede slipper: deep charcoal black, pale piping, nothing else.

Black suede shows wear least, which makes it the obvious choice if the house shoe is worn every day. The toe is closed and slightly turned up, the heel open; underneath sits the flat leather sole with its hand seam running all the way round. A house shoe you can keep on when the doorbell rings.

Material

The upper is soft suede; lining and outsole are lamb and buffalo leather respectively. The leather is untreated and natural and lets the foot breathe instead of sealing it in — the reason these slippers still feel dry and odour-free after hours of wear.

Fit and size

Slippers are worn open and run rather generously. Stick with your usual size; if you want to wear them with socks, go up one. The leather gives after a few days and shapes itself to the foot.

Care

Brush suede dry, against the nap, with a suede brush. Keep it away from wet weather and treat marks carefully with a suede eraser. Do not wash and do not dry on a radiator.
