Charook Pantoffel Rau Grün – Suede Slippers, Green

The same slipper as the Rau model, here in a clear grass green that reads velvety rather than loud in suede.

Closed toe, open heel, pale piping at the opening: the shape stays plain and the colour does the work. The flat, hand-stitched leather sole is visibly seamed all the way round and gives the house shoe more hold than a glued felt sole. Because suede takes up moisture and releases it again, the foot stays dry even after hours.

Material

The upper is soft suede; lining and outsole are lamb and buffalo leather respectively. The leather is untreated and natural and lets the foot breathe instead of sealing it in — the reason these slippers still feel dry and odour-free after hours of wear.

Fit and size

Slippers are worn open and run rather generously. Stick with your usual size; if you want to wear them with socks, go up one. The leather gives after a few days and shapes itself to the foot.

Care

Brush suede dry, against the nap, with a suede brush. Keep it away from wet weather and treat marks carefully with a suede eraser. Do not wash and do not dry on a radiator.
