Charook Ma Ro Backtt Fut – Hand-Painted Leather Shoes, One of a Kind

A slip-on from the Ma Ro series: the finished leather shoe is painted by hand, so no pair is like another.

Interlocking ornaments and faces sit on a blue ground and carry on across cap and upper — the painting follows the shape of the shoe rather than a printed repeat. Inside, the shoe is left unpainted and natural, with the usual lamb-leather lining and visible sole seam. Because each pair is painted individually, colour transitions and motif placement differ slightly from the photos; that is the point.

Material

The shoe is 100 % leather: a buffalo-leather outsole, a lamb-leather lining and a goat-leather outer shell. The leather is untreated and natural. Goat leather lets the feet breathe, so no bad odours build up and the foot stays cool — which is why these shoes stay comfortable over long days.

Fit and size

Natural leather stretches slightly over the first few days and moulds to your foot. We recommend your usual size; go up one if you have a high instep or a wide foot. The sole is flat and flexible — you feel the ground without giving up a protective layer of leather.

Care

Treat the painted areas sparingly: dust them dry, use no solvents and never apply leather grease directly to the artwork. Care for the unpainted leather as usual with a soft cloth.
