Charook Classic Rot – Handmade Leather Shoes, Red

Deep red, pale cross seam, flat leather sole: the Classic in the colour we are asked for most often.

The red is deep and slightly broken — it tips neither into orange nor into burgundy, which keeps it wearable with jeans. As on every Classic, the decorative seam sits over the cap and the sole seam runs visibly all the way round. The deep opening makes it a shoe to step into, with no fastening at all.

Material

The shoe is 100 % leather: a buffalo-leather outsole, a lamb-leather lining and a goat-leather outer shell. The leather is untreated and natural. Goat leather lets the feet breathe, so no bad odours build up and the foot stays cool — which is why these shoes stay comfortable over long days.

Fit and size

Natural leather stretches slightly over the first few days and moulds to your foot. We recommend your usual size; go up one if you have a high instep or a wide foot. The sole is flat and flexible — you feel the ground without giving up a protective layer of leather.

Care

The leather is untreated and natural. Wipe off dust with a dry, soft cloth and work in a colourless leather conditioner from time to time. Never machine wash and never dry on a radiator — let the shoes air at room temperature.
